HKI (Himpunan Kimia Indonesia, Indonesian Chemical Society) was founded in February 1962. Today, it is a nonprofit, independent academic society that facilitates communication among Indonesian chemists and related professions, and promotes the advancement of chemistry research, education, and application. HKI is supported by its members in 15 branches across various provinces in Indonesia.
