Jurnal Teknisia was first published on April 1996. At its inception, the journal was a scientific journal published three times a year by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, the Islamic University of Indonesia, Yogyakarta, which contained articles in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and architecture. Starting in May 2015, the journal focused on articles in the field of civil engineering derived from the results of research, scientific studies, and literature studies coupled with application thinking in certain cases.
