Tujuan Asosiasi Agribisnis Indonesia (AAI) adalah: (1) Menyediakan platform bagi kerjasama stakeholder di bidang agribisnis; (2) Menghimpun, mengkaji, dan mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di bidang agribisnis; (3) Mengkomunikasikan dan mendiseminasikan pemikiran, hasil penelitian, dan usulan kebijakan di bidang agribisnis; (4) Mengadvokasi kepentingan masyarakat agribisnis, dan; (5) Mendorong terciptanya pendidikan tinggi agribisnis yang bermutu.
