Jurnal AgroBiogen semula bernama Buletin AgroBio yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1996 hingga 2004. Sejak tahun 2005, Buletin AgroBio berubah menjadi Jurnal AgroBiogen seiring dengan perubahan Balitbio menjadi Balitbiogen dan BB Biogen. Jurnal ini memuat artikel primer dan tujuan hasil penelitian bioteknologi dan sumber daya genetika tanaman, serangga, dan mikroba pertanian. Naskah yang diterima berupa hasil penelitian lengkap atau tinjauan yang belum pernah dipublikasi.
