University X is one of private universities in Bandung. Lecturers and non-academic employees are part of the Institute who have an important role in achieving the goals of the Institute. The objectives will be achieved if supported by high productivity of the faculty and non-academic employees. The study has been begun by measuring employee engagement based on Development Dimension International (DDI) and the National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST). The samples consisted of 74 lecturers and 116 non-academic staff. The results show the value of the level of engagement (scale 1-4) lecturer is 2.85 and for non-academic employees is 2.79. This shows that the lecturers and non-academic employees have not reached the high level of engaged. Employee engagement items with the lowest index value is about fair treatment, accountability, and feedback from the job. Proposal to increase employee engagement related to these items are the evaluation of the performance appraisal system, employee discipline system implementation, as well as the reward system for excellent employees.
