. Condition of existing pavement layers in Manado and Minahasa, in general experience damage before reaching the design life. There are several factors that can affect the performance of pavement systems, among others: the workmanship, materials quality, traffic load and environmental conditions. Evaluation of the quality of aggregate materials commonly used in the mixture of existing pavement construction in Manado and Minahasa needs to be carried out because of the large effect of aggregate physical properties on the performance of pavement mixtures. This research was conducted to examine the physical properties of aggregates derived from Sawangan, Kakaskasen and Tateli. Volumetric analysis was used to evaluate the performance of these aggregates in asphalt concrete mixtures. The experiments were conducted in a laboratory by performing initial inspection on the aggregates and asphalt, then artificial grading based on engineering specification issued by Department of Settlement and Regional Infrastructure in 2003. Asphalt content varied between 4.5% and 6.5%. Physical property and mechanical testing of mixtures were obtained by Marshall. Evaluation on AC-BC' volumetric results using the aggregates from the 3 locations indicated that aggregates from Sawangan is the best material for pavement mixtures compared with that derived from Tateli and Kakaskasen
