Pirolisis Sampah Plastik PP (Polyprophylene) Menjadi Minyak Pirolisis Sebagai Bahan Bakar Primer

Abstrak

The research was conducted in order to know characteristic of pyrolysis oil from plastic wastes and compared it with characteristic of gasoline. The study covered not only physical properties but also chemical property. Physical properties included viscosity and density while chemical property was calorific value. The types of plastic were Polypropylene (PP) were pyrolysis in the batch pyrolysis reactor where the temperature was controlled at 2500C with variation of time were an hour, 2 hours and 3 hours. The reactor batch used was a simple design reactor. The result of experiment pointed out that calorific value of pyrolysis oil were 10.296 Cal/gr to 11.670 Cal/gr compared with calorific value of gasoline were 8.356 Cal/gr, density of pyrolysis oil were 0.7678 – 0.78023 kg/l compared with density of gasoline were 0.68 Kg/l and viscosity of pyrolysis oil were 0.65 cP – 0.78 cP compared with viscosity of gasoline were 0.652 cP
