The purpose of this research is: To know the application of learning model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) can improve the motivation and learning outcomes of students of class XII IPS 1 SMA Negeri 3 Pati academic year 2016/2017. The learning process is carried out with 2 cycles ie cycle I and II. The implementation of these stages is divided into 2 cycles in Action Research which are cycle I and II, each cycle includes: Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting.The results of this study explain that the value of KKM 75 learning outcomes of students visible increase compared with the initial condition that only 11 students (32.35%) above KKM has increased to 24 students (70.58%) in cycle I and increased 34 students (100%) in cycle II. Suggestions that can be given by researchers include: To improve the learning situation is fun then needed innovative learning models such as Teams Games Tournamens (TGT). This innovative learning model can be used to improve students' learning achievement in matrix reading materials.
