Abstrak

Use online media what the college in Indonesia increased activities hatespeech online. Several inter-religious conflicts happen increasingly murky because information in online media tends to be provocative. Jakarta governor election in 2017, an event the many got attention and formed the fanatical support of their respective candidate pairs. The hatespeech activities aimed shown to pair lie and supporters can not be avoided. The research purpose is to review the get overview about hatespeech in online media about the candidad governor and governor deputy in Jakarta election 2017. The study using content analysis method with qualitative approach.Results concluded nine online news national about Jakarta governor election in campaign period in Line Today. Theme, marginalization and prejudice that lead in utterances of hate can not be found in news. While the content of the comments hatespeech of news shows that all candidate pairs by netizen commented. But the dominant theme paled comment yang leads on hatred directed against religious and racial intolerance shown to Ahok. Still comment the pro Ahok high much more. Many netizens also comments containing hateful speech against each candidate pair with words inappropriate, insulting, harassing and painful.
