Abstrak

As the 2015 deadline for the Millennium Development Goals draws near, the world has begun to consider the post 2015 development agenda. Indonesia's President is one of the co-chairs of the UN High Level Panel of Eminent Persons (HLPEP) working on a development agenda that will replace the eight MDGs. President Yudhoyono has said that the three co-chairs share a common view that the next development agenda must be aimed at reducing the world's poverty significantly. Carrying out sustainable development efforts with available resources is one way to create just and sustainable economic growth, according to the civil society coalition which contributes to the implementation of MDGs programs in Indonesia. This book examines the implementation of MDGs programs from the perspective of civil society, and serves as a reference in the formulation of post MDGs 2015 development agenda. Injustice, disparity and inequity remain chronic problems according to the coalition and must be addressed in any sustainable development agenda.
