Founded in 1971, the Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners (Ikatan Ahli Perencanaan Indonesia or IAP) is the sole organisation of urban and regional planning professionals in Indonesia, with branches in 25 provinces throughout Indonesia.
IAP is currently the biggest professional association/institute of regional planners in the South East Asian region, with more than 3,000 members. IAP's Planning Certification Board also certifies city planners, with over 1,200 certified planners to date.
