The Aceh International Journal of Social Sciences is an open access, peer-reviewed, quarterly journal that promotes dialogue and scholarship about social issues in the context of Aceh, Indonesia. After the 2004 tsunami devastated the coastal region of Aceh and killed more than 225,000 people, Aceh has been the focus of discussion by scholars from various disciplines globally. There has been an increasing emphasis on the issues of rehabilitation, reconstruction and re-development of Aceh post-tsunami, 2004. Thus, the AIJSS provides an avenue for researchers, academics and practitioners to present and share the findings of their research on Aceh-related social issues.
