Information TECHNOLOGY Applications for Laboratory Works in Electrical Engineering

The need for laboratory work for more effective studying electrical engineering and a deeper learning and understanding of the material is totally understandable. However, not always possible to implement real laboratory work due to lack of equipment or complete absence of the laboratory. As one of the ways to solve this problem, developed a computer model of the existing labs that allow to simulate the processes occurring in the electrical circuits. This allows without electrical laboratory to perform laboratory work, which give a clear idea about how the electrical laws are used in real installations and systems. These models are implemented in the environment Delphi 7.

Pros and Cons of Error Correction in Teaching Studies

Students' written and spoken errors constitute subject of the study. The article deals with the problem of lecturer's correcting students mistakes in writing and speaking activities. Three main stages in the process of students' understanding of their mistakes are outlined. Types of correction of both spoken and written errors according to S.P. Corder are under consideration. Fedorenko and Sukhorolska's ideas for correcting students' written errors are examined. Signs that the lecturer corrects not enough or too many errors are provided in the article.

Application of the Linear Regression Models of the White Mistletoe (Viscum Album L.) Number to Improve the Effectiveness of Environmental Safety of Green Plantations

Green plantations play an important role in improving of state of an urban environment and its environmental safety. Among the adverse factors that can negatively effect on the vitality of forest trees and urban plantations is the invasion of the White Mistletoe (Viscum album L.). It is a manifestation of the bioanthropogenic environmental hazard (on the classification of M. F. Reimers). The research was conducted on the territory of the city of Kharkiv (Ukraine). To minimize the effect of this plant on plantations the regression models of relationship of its number and an ecological parameters of the urban landscape (share of buildings, density of street-road network, the prevalence age of the trees in plantations, etc.) and an individual characteristics of its host trees (the figure of peripheral dieback of crowns, defoliation degree, class of sanitaryand-hygienic status on the seven-point scale of A. D. Maslov, etc.) was developed. It was justified, that mistletoe is an indicator of man-made danger, formed by landscape-transforming factors.
