Komitmen nasional tentang perlunya pendidikan karakter dapat diimplementasikan dengan integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya yaitu pembelajaran IPA. Integrasi pendidikan karakter di dalam proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan mulai dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi pembelajaran. Salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter yaitu pendekatan kontekstual. Â National commitment on the need for character education can be implemented with the integration of character education in learning, one that is science learning. The integration of character education in the learning process carried out starting from the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. One approach that is used to impart character education that is contextual approach.

Penggunaan Education Game Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPA Biologi Konsep Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA Biologi tentang klasifikasi makhluk hidup bagi siswa kelas VII B SMP N 1 Wonosobo yang dilaksanakan pada semester 1 tahun 2009/2010. Pada siklus I diketahui hasil belajar meningkat tajam dari  yakni  dari 55,03 menjadi 81,71. Pada akhir siklus II hasil belajar meningkat menjadi 87,57. Jadi pembelajaran menggunakan education game dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran, penguasaan bahasa serta  penggunaan ICT dalam pembelajaran. The goal of this research is to improve Biology learning result about living things classification material for first semester students of SMP N 1 Wonosobo class of VII B academic year 2009/2010. In the first cycle it is found out that the learning result is improved from 55.03 to 81.71. In the end of second cycle the learning result is 87.57. So, it can be concluded that education game can improve the students’ learning result, students’ activeness in the learning process, and their achievement of language and using ICT.

Enhancement of Science Students' Process Skills Through Implementation of Green Learning Method (GeLem) with Conservation-Based Inquiry Approach

The inquiry of science teaching aims to encourage the ability to think, work and be scientific and communicate as an important aspect of life skills. Inquiry learning with Green Learning Method (GeLeM) focuses on the ability to think, work and be scientific. The data collection was conducted in the Department of Integrated Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Semarang on the course of General Biology, even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The results show that application of method “GeLeM” can increase the average of cognitive value, learning response and the ability of students' Science Process Skill (SPS) in science learning especially biology in the material of the diversity of living creatures. Common biology lectures that use the method of Green Learning Method (GeLeM) can be collaborated with instilling conservation horizon on the students. The conclusion of this study is that Green Learning Method (GeLeM) can improve student cognitive result and science process skill in science learning. In addition, students are also able to find the concept that comes from the environment (nature), students can also love and care for the environment as a vehicle for learning.
