The purpose of study is to identify the species and frequency of butterfly visited on three types of flowers namely: Ixora paludosa, Hibiscus rosa-chinensis and Clerodendron japonicum. The information is very useful in the conservation effort of pollinator insects, especially butterflies that live around the Bantimurung-Bulusaraung National Park, Maros district, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Research activities in the field trials were located in Simbang village (5 ° 01'23.2 "S and 119 ° 40'33.6" E), Maros district, South Sulawesi. The research was conducted in August to September 2018. There were two families butterflies visited the flowers i.e : Pieridae and Papilionidae. Six species of butterflies visited I. paludosa flowers, four species visited H. rosa chinensis and seven species visited C. japonicum. The dominant butterfly species visited I. paludosa : Graphium agamemnon and Catopsilia scylla. The species of butterflies in H. rosa-chinensis are Papilio demolion and Troides helena, while those who frequently visited C. japonicum flower: C. pomona and C. scylla

Identifikasi Potensi Jabon Merah (Anthocephalus Marcophyllus) di Kecamatan Bua Kabupaten Luwu

Community forest is one model of natural resource managements based on community initiatives. The development of community forests is directed at restoring land productivity. Scarcity of industrial wood raw materials requires Fast-growing commercial wood, jabon merah is a Fast-growing plant. Potential of jabon merah at Bua District has not been known certainly. Inventory studies contain descriptions of forested areas and potential assessments. Bua sub-district is one of the sub-districts producing jabon merah wood that comes from community forests. This research was conducted from August to September 2019 with the aim to find out how much the potential for jabon merah and the distribution of jabon merah are in Bua sub-district. This research was conducted by quantitative description method. the results obtained by an inventory of the potential of jabon merah in Bua sub-district are 5,127 m3. Volume of jabon merah for each diameter class is 0.99 m3 for the diameter class of 5-10.99 cm, 277.60 m3 for the diameter class of 11-19.99 cm, 338.20 m3 for the diameter class of 20-29.99 cm, and 122.15 m3 for the widest class located in the village of Tiromanda with 11 stands of jabon merah stands, witharea of 5.3 ha.The lowest and lowest distribution is located in Lare-Lare village, only 1 area of jabon merah stands, with an area of 0.8 ha.

The ecological feasibility of sago plants is not strong enough to determine sago as a commodity that can be developed in the upstream area. The research objective was to assess the community's perception of the strategy for water of sago land management in Salu Paku sub-watershed, the upper part of Rongkong watershed. The research begins with the socialization of the rainfed sago land water management strategy. The research consisted of two stages (before socialization and after socialization). The results showed that before the socialization, 100% of the community understood that sago land did not need water management, but after socialization, the community understood that sago could be developed in dryland conditions if there was water management. The community previously understood that it was not important to regulate the number of plants in one clump, after receiving additional information, generally, they wanted to regulate the number of sago trees by maintaining two tillers, one weaning plant, and two tillers during the weaning period. phase, and in the tree phase raise one tree plus one wean and two chicks. The public perception of water conservation measures before the socialization was doubtful 100%, after the socialization, the perception increased 95% (willing to make terraces and dead-end trenches), and 5% were still in doubt. Public perception about the addition of organic fertilizer to sago land before the socialization was doubtful 100%, after the socialization, 95% of the people agreed to add organic fertilizer, although 5% still had doubts
