Hubungan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Literasi Sains pada Pembelajaran IPA Terpadu dengan Model Pbm dan Stm

The aims of this research were to find out: (1) correlation between critical thinking skills and science literacy, (2) indentify the instructional model that is better to improve student's critical thinking skills, and (3) indentify the instructional model that is better to improve student's science literacy. The research was quasi-experimental research that used randomized pretest-posttest comparison group design. The sampling technique used in this research was cluster random sampling. Data analysis technique used bivariate correlation product moment Pearsons andmultivariate test with significance level of 0.05. The results of this research indicate that: (1) there is a strong correlation between critical thinking skills and science literacy, (2) science technology society instructional model is better than problem-based-learning instructional model to improve student's critical thinking skills, and (3) science technology society instructional model is better than problem-based-learning instructional model to improve student's science literacy.

Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Hots Berbasis Kurikulum 2013 terhadap Sikap Disiplin

This research is aimed to develop an assessment instrument of High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) in 2013-based curriculum toward discipline behaviour. The development of assessment instrument in this research applies Thiagarajan's 4D model. It has been tried out at the population which consists of 3 (three) schools in 3 (three) districts by using cluster random sampling technique, in which X(1) class is chosen to try the assessment instrument out. The independent variable is HOTS and the dependent variable is discipline behaviour. The data are collected through the validity sheet of assessment instrument in the form of lesson plan, used to find out: (1) the validity of learning aid; (2) the effectiveness of learning aid based on the learning result. The process of development with 4.00 maximal score results in: (1) the learning aid which is valid according to 4 (four) validations: the average score is 3.57 in the fourst validity; (2)The assessment instrument is effective or successful, since it can obtain the success of assessment instrument with 73.3 % HOTS score of the total score and 90 % discipline behaviour score of the total score. Developing this assessment instrument is suitable to be applied for active students, who can work independently but have less ability to follow the process or finishing steps in Physics systematicallyPendidikan sebagai salah satu parameter kemajuan suatu bangsa menjadi sangat penting dengan SDM sebagai tolak ukurnya. Fenomena-fenomena yang mengarah pada gagalnya pendidikan, seperti kondisi moral generasi muda yang rusak, pengangguran terididik yang semakin meluas,rusaknyamoral bangsa yang akut dan sebagainya. Hal tersebut yang mendasari penelitian ini dengan menerapkan pendidikan integrasi dengan pendidikan karakter yaitu, pengembangan instrumen penilaian keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) berbasis kurikulum 2013 terhadap sikap disiplin.Pengembangan instrumen penilaian menggunakan R & D model 4-D dari Thiagarajan, et al. (1974). Uji coba lapangan dilakukan di 3 (tiga) sekolah yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) sekolah, dengan teknik cluster random sampling terpilih kelas X(1) sebagai kelas uji coba instrumen penilaian. Variabel HOTS sebagai variabel independendan sikap disiplin sebagai variabel dependen. Data diperoleh melaluilembar validasi, instrumen penilaian dalam bentuk RPP. Proses pengembangan instrumen penilaian HOTS dan sikap disiplin masing-masing terdiri dari 12 indikator dengan skor maksimal 4.00 menghasilkan: Instrumen penilaian adalah valid menurut 4 (empat) validator, yaitu diperoleh rata-rata nilai validitas 3,57. Instrumen penilaian dikatakan efektif/berhasil, karena mencapai kesuksesan instrumen penilaian dengan skor HOTS 73,3% dan sikap disiplin 90% dari skor total. Instrumen penilaian ini baik digunakan untuk siswa dengan keaktifan tinggi, bekerja mandiri dan kemampuan yang kurang baik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal fisika secara sistematis.

Pengaruh Novel Kimia dalam Kegiatan Pembelajaran terhadap Pemahaman Konsep dan Motivasi Belajar

This research aimed to determine the effect of using chemical novel in learning activities to the understanding of concept and learning motivation in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta of the school year 2012-2013. The research design is non equivalent control group design. Data is collected using pretest and post-test booklet and sheet scale learning motivation to the using chemical novel. The results of the data analysis in this research is on the motivation of learners average experimental and control classes, respectively 72.79 and 69.43. The results showed that the average experimental class on learning motivation is greater than the average grade control. The average is categorized according to both Sukardjo which is between 67.998 and 83.994. In aspect of understanding the concept, for posttest data is normally distributed with sig-class experimental and control respectively were 0.08 and 0.35. In homogeneity test data is homogeneous with sig 0.322. The average value of each class posttests were 70.44 and 65.33. Furthermore, using one way ANOVA that shows the value of Farithmetic>Ftable is 4.787> 3.995. This means chemical novel as learning resource on hydrocarbons gives a positive influence on chemistry learning activities.
