This study aims to investigate politic communication that is used in script of Panembahan Reso, a drama by Rendra. This study uses qualitative method and close reading of the text itself.The result shows that politic communication in Panembahan Reso is a sharp and explicit script that is conveyed by an old King to a reality, which means he would any way he could to counter his opposition. The condition is similar with new order regime when Soeharto reigned as Indonesian President and used Golkar as his political vehicle and army as his power.
