Introduction: The existence of nurses as health care providers is essential, nowadays modern society demands nurses professionalism in their duties performences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the patient's perception of the professional competence of nurses in Bandung Adventist Hospital. Method: Descriptive method using a questionnaire as an instrument. The questionnaire contains 22 statements that was adapted from the eight competencies of nurses according to Lenburg et al. (2009). The population used was hospitalized adult patients admitted in Bandung Adventist Hospital with a total of 57 patients selected by purposive sampling. Measurement was done by calculating the mean score. Result: The results showed that patient's perception to the professional competencies of nurses in Bandung Adventist Hospital is in a good interpretations (Mean 3,94). Item that is perceived most dominant is a statement "nurses appreciate the culture/religion possessed patient" that was included in the social care skills and social relations with the mean of 4.39. Item that is perceived less dominant is a statement "Nurses have knowledge beyond the field of science (natural science, social, political)" which is included in integrate knowledge skill with mean of 3.33. Discussion: Professional competencies of nurses in Bandung Adventist Hospital was included in the high category with a good interpretation.
