Injustice in resource management has triggered serious conflicts throughout Indonesia, leading to fatalities in the case of Mesuji, Lampung, and Serayang. Community Forests are identified in a new report, Forestry Conflict Resoltion, as the most vulnerable to conflict in this survey of 85 conflicts from six provinces.

This book provides solutions to conflict over tenure in forest areas. These tools can be used to identify the claim, the dispute, and conflict documentation model, so that the most appropriate problem solving approach can be used.

Case studies are provided, including the tenure assessments of KPHs, in Central Lampung and West Rinjani.
