The accounts of Aisyah's age which was still young (6 years) when she married the Prophet Muhammad and 9 years when she started her family life was considered as valid and reliable for centuries. Today, critical study of Aisyah's age of her early marriage bloomed. It was firstly started by Muhammad Ali and continued by the Muslim scholars from Indian continent. They said that there was mistake in interpreting Aisyah's factual age when she married the prophet. She was actually older than what was informed in reports, including hadith. Based on such controversies, this study examines the quality of hadith which informed Aisyah's age when she married both in its sanad and in its matn. Employed textual analysis, this study also focuses on analyzing the corrective theses on Aisyah's age and several reasons of her marriage and then offers historiographical thought of corrective discourse. It describes analytical disagreement as antithesis from corrective discourse on Aisyah marital age.
