— The numbers of electronic devices which connect directly to the electricity in the ICT Integrated Laboratory of Budi Luhur University increasing the risk of fires caused by several factors, one of them is short-circuit, human carelessness or intentional. Supervision to electronic devices by the assistants is already running currently, yet sometimes is overlooked. Due to the number of assistants who in charged in the ICT Integrated Laboratory only as many as 20 people and they are active students also, so there are limitedness in performing their duties as a laboratory assistant and to monitor the devices in the area. To resolve these problems, it needs to design an early detection tool to indicate the presence of fire and electrical controller which will give a warning when there is an emersion of smokes and the temperatures has exceeded the normal bounds. Furthermore, there is a prevention system that would cut off an electrical current through the relay which connected directly to the microcontroller. Therefore, it is necessary to build a prototype as an early detection tool to indicate the presence of fire and electric controller using Arduino Uno microcontroller equipped with DHT11 sensor as a temperature sensor and MQ-2 sensor as a smoke sensor. This system is not only able to detect the presence of temperature and smoke above normal limits, but also it can prevent short-circuits and fires using buzzer warning while the electricity controller is carried out through the relays. This web-based system built to facilitate users to monitor the laboratory anytime and anywhere.
