Abstrak

-The number of motor vehicles in major cities continue to rise, resulting in high levels of congestion in major cities. One indicator of the increasing level of congestion is the high activity of citizens in major cities. As it is known that most of the workers who work in major cities comes from the cities around. Jakarta as the capital city has a density level of congestion and high activity. Unfortunately, in the midst of such conditions led to Muslims in Jakarta difficulty in carrying out its obligations of worship prayer 5 times. For that needed prayer time reminders that can facilitate the Muslims in order to perform their duties properly. Based on the previous explanation, this study will focus in developing a GPS-based navigation systems reminder prayer time by utilizing the A * algorithm to get the best location of the mosque, the distance parameter, congestion index and the index of the mosque preferences. The results of this study resulted in a GPS navigation system with reminders of time praying that provide the best mosque location and guides the user to the location of the mosque.
