Pengaruh Integrated Academic Information System (Iraise) Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Pada Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau

: This study was aimed at determining the effects of academic information system (iRaise) on employee performance. Respondents of this study were employees of the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim (UIN Suska) Riau. This is an empirical study that used the purposive sampling techniques in sampling. From a population of 368 respondents, some 58 respondents met the criteria. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 58 respondents. Of the 58 questionnaires, 34 questionnaires were returned by the respondents. The results showed that iRaise had been significantly and positively effect on the employee performance with a significance level of 0.000 ρ (ρ <0.05). The coefficient value of 0.837 (positive number) showed a positive effect, which means that the iRaise may improve the performance of employees at UIN Suska Riau. Changes of employee performance can significantly be explained by the iRaise.

Komunikasi Dan Budaya: Menuju Masyarakat Multikultural

Dalam masyarakat multikultural orang-orang yang memiliki latar belakang berbeda berkomunikasi. Komunikasi bisa gagal bila menimbulkan kesalahpahaman atau konflik. Kesalahpahaman bisa terjadi karena perbedaan budaya yang terdapat dalam masyarakat multikultural. Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hubungan antara komunikasi dan budaya serta menjelaskan penerapan komunikasi antarbudaya dalam masyarakat multikultural. Setelah membahas konsep komunikasi dan budaya, ditemukan bahwa komunikasi dan budaya tidak dapat dipisahkan karena budaya merupakan dasar dari komunikasi. Komunikasi antarbudaya sangat diperlukan dalam interaksi orang-orang yang berada dalam masyarakat multikultural karena komunikasi antarbudaya berlandaskan pengakuan terhadap pluralisme seperti yang terkandung dalam multikulturalisme.

Modalities or styles of learning in the learning process has dominance respectively. There is someone in the process of receiving information dominated by the eye and called a visual learning style and when the sense of hearing which dominates then the person is said to have an auditory learning style and if someone prefers physical involvement he has a kinesthetic learning style. If we want to identify the learning styles of students in a particular class in a manner that is valid, then it should be made known through a questionnaire to be completed by the student. Statement to be filled in the questionnaire leads to the characteristics of each learning style. From this questionnaire will be found the percentage of students who have learning styles of visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Then processed in a computerized neural network with perceptron method.
