Pengaruh Metode Debat Terhadap Kemampuan Berbicara Dalam Bahasa Inggris Ditinjau Dari Ekspektasi Karir Bahasa Inggris Pada Siswa Kelas XII SMA N 1 Kerambitan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: a) mengetahui pengaruh implementasi metode debat terhadap kemampuan berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris para siswa; b) mengetahui pengaruh metode debat terhadap kemampuan berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris pada siswa dengan ekspektasi karir tinggi; c) mengetahui pengaruh metode debat terhadap kemampuan berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris pada siswa dengan ekspektasi karir rendah; d) mengetahui pengaruh interaksi implementasi metode debat dengan ekspektasi karir terhadap kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Inggris para siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen posttest-only control group dengan faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah 180 siswa kelas XII SMA N 1 Kerambitan tahun akademik 2014/2015, yang mana 84 diantaranya dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian melalui teknik radom. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kinerja dan kuesioner, yang kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur dan tes Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; pertama, siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode debat Krieger memiliki hasil kemampuan berbicara yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode pengajaran konvensional. Kedua, siswa dengan ekspektasi karir tinggi memiliki hasil kemampuan berbicara yang lebih baik saat diajar menggunakan metode debat Krieger dibandingkan siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode pengajaran konvensional. Ketiga, hasil kemampuan berbicara yang lebih baik ditunjukkan oleh siswa yang memiliki ekspektasi karir rendah saat diajar menggunakan metode pengajaran konvensional, dibandingkan siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode debat Krieger. Keempat, terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara metode debat dengan ekspektasi karir terhadap kemampuan berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa metode debat Krieger bisa menjadi alternatif lain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam Bahasa Inggris terutama pada siswa dengan ekspektasi karir tinggi dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris.Kata Kunci : metode debat, kemampuan berbicara, ekspektasi karir, Bahasa Inggris This study aimed at: a) investigating the significant difference in English speaking ability between the students who are taught by using debate method and those who are taught by using conventional teaching method; b) investigating the significant difference in English speaking ability between the students with high career expectation who are taught using debate method and those by using conventional teaching method; c) investigating the significant difference in English speaking ability between the students with low career expectation who are taught using debate method and those by using conventional teaching; d) investigating the interactional effect of debate method and career expectation upon student's English speaking ability. The study employed posttest-only control group with 2x2 factorial design. The population of this study was 180 twelve grade students of SMA N 1 Kerambitan in the academic year of 2014/2015 wherein 84 of them were selected as the sample of the study through Random Sampling Technique. The data were collected by means of questionnaire and speaking performance test, and were analyzed by using 2-way ANOVA and Tukey Test. The results indicated that, first, the students who were treated by using Krieger debate method achieved better in English Speaking Ability; Second, students with high career expectation had higher English speaking score when they were treated using Krieger debate method than were treated with conventional teaching; third, higher English speaking score were in favor of students with low career expectation when they were treated with conventional teaching than Krieger debate method; and fourth, there was an interactional effect between debate method and career expectation upon students' speaking ability. These findings show that Krieger debate method can be an alternative to improve students' English speaking ability especially those who have high career expectation in English. keyword : debate method, speaking ability, career expectation, English

Manajemen Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Qur'an Raudlotul Huffadz Tabanan Bali (Kepemimpinan, Cara Belajar)

This study aims to determine the type of leadership in leading a boarding school clerics Tahfidz Qur'an Raudlotul Huffadz Kediri Tabanan Bali and learning are used in the learning process Tahfidz Qur'an in Pondok Pesantren Kediri Tabanan Bali Raudlotul Huffadz. This study uses a qualitative research design.Research using the techniques of data collection interviews, documents and observations. Interviews were conducted with religious scholars, students and the community board. Documents obtained from administrative records that exist in the administration office. observations made to obtain valid data. Results of this study found that the Pondok Pesantren Kyai Raudlotul Huffadz Kediri Tabanan Bali is a charismatic leader. Clerics possessed charisma is one force that can make an impact in the environment, but Kyai Nur Hadi did not see the board, students and the community as a subordinate, but as a partner. Kyai Nur Hadi always motivate students to launch memory. And the learning process of students using methods muraja'ah and Ziyadah, so that students are able to meet the target of 5 Juz within one year and the students have completed 6 years of memory.

Determinasi Kemampuan Manajerial Kepala Sekolah,iklim Kerja, Dan Motivasi Kerja Guru Terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Guru SMP Negeri Di Kecamatan Kuta

This study aimed to determine the contribution of the principal managerial skills, working environment and working motivation toward job satisfaction of Junior High School teachers in the district of Kuta separately or simultaneously. Population of the study was all Junior High School Teachers in district of Kuta with a number of 89 teachers. Sampling was done with multi stage random sampling technique using Robert V. Krejcie and Daryle W. Morgan tables the number of samples are 73 people. This study uses ex-post facto design. Data were collected by questionnaires and observation sheets. Data were analyzed with regression, correlation and analysis of determination. The results showed that: (1) There is a determination among the principal managerial ability toward job satisfaction of teachers with determination by 47.1% and the effective contribution of 19.1% , (2) there is a determination among working environment toward job satisfaction of teachers with a determination equal to 49.5% and the effective contribution of 21.7%, (3) there is a determination among working motivation toward job satisfaction teachers with determination by 46.8% and the effective contribution of 22.9%, and (4) there is a determination jointly among the principal managerial skills, working environment, and working motivation toward job satisfaction of teachers with the determination of 63.7%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant contribution among the principal managerial ability, motivation of teachers and working environment toward job satisfaction of junior high school teachers in the district Kuta separately or simultaneously. Thus the are factors can be used as a predictor of job satisfaction trend level of Junior High Schools in Kuta district, Badung regency.
