This research aimed at finding the effect of the Contextual teaching and learning approach and learning interest towards Civic Education learning achievement student of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. This is use experiment with 2x2 factorial design. The research result shows that: 1) Civic Education learning achievement of the students in Contextual teaching and learning approach is higher than the students in Conventional teaching and learning approach (FA=21,29 < α=0,05); 2) there is a significant interaction effect between learning approach and learning interest towards Civic Education achievement (FAB=71,32 < α=0,05); 3) for the students who have the high learning interest, the Civics Education learning achievement of the students in Contextual teaching and learning approach is higher than the students in Conventional teacing and learning approach (Qobserved=13,06 < α=0,05); 4) for the students who have the low learning interest, the Civic Education learning achievement of the students in Conventional teaching and learning approach is higher than the students in Contextual teaching and learning approach (Qobserved=3,83 < α=0,05). Based on the above finding, it can be concluded that the implementation of the teaching and learning approach and learning interest have significant effect towards Civic Education learning achievement.
