: Curriculum Development Unit Level Pattern Of Education In Central Sulawesi Province. With the social-cultural conditions in immeasurable Central Sulawesi will need adjustment of development of more special Education Unit Level Curriculum . So the problems which is studied in this research is: “ How is the Development pattern of Education Unit Level Curriculum in Central Sulawesi?”. From the main problems, the study will focus on the analysis of several aspects, that are: (1) How does the policy direction of the implementation of Education Unit Level Curriculum in the Central Sulawesi? (2) How is the understanding of the principal, teachers and school committees to develop curriculum? (3) What are the problems faced by schools in developing Education Unit Level Curriculum?. The technique that is used to obtain data, are (1) Study Documents, (2) observation, (3) Interview and (4) polls. The result shows that the local excellence that is wanted to develop by the City and District Education Office is the local language, local arts, skills and crafts area. Application of Education Unit Level Curriculum has been implemented since the academic year 2006/2007. The principals understanding about curriculum development guidelines that is issued by the BSNP is still low. This condition makes a lot of teachers and principals are still having problems in developing Education Unit Level Curriculum. The problem that is experienced by teachers is the difficulty to develop syllabus materials and lesson plans in accordance with local conditions. The problem that is experienced in developing local content is the lack of teachers who understand the social-cultural conditions in Central Sulawesi. Some suggestions that is recommended is a need for training for principals and teachers, development of syllabus materials and lesson plans. Center for Research and Education Ministry curriculum still needs to socialize guide curriculum development. So in the network curriculum include the team members from the college in accordance with the groups of subjects.
