This research aims to investigate the difference in learning motivation and social study learning outcome between students who followed learning using cooperative learning model type jigsaw and students who followed conventional learning both separately and simultaneously. Population on this research was the entire fifth grade elementary students of District IV Jimbaran, South Kuta, amounting to 280 people. A total of 156 students selected as the sample with random sampling technique. Data were collected using test and questionnaire. Data were analyzed using anava statistics and manova one lane. The result shows that (1) there is a difference in learning motivation between students who followed learning using cooperative learning model type jigsaw and convensional in fifth grade elementary students of District IV Jimbaran, South Kuta with Fobs = 15,335 (p = 0,000 < 0,05), (2) there is a difference in student's social study learning outcome between students who followed learning using cooperative learning model type jigsaw and convensional in fifth grade elementary students of District IV Jimbaran, South Kuta with Fobs = 13,302 (p = 0,000 < 0,05), and (3) there is a difference in learning motivation and learning outcome of students between students who followed learning using cooperative learning model type jigsaw and convensional in fifth grade elementary students of District IV Jimbaran, South Kuta with F- Wilks' Lambda = 11,306 (p = 0,000 < 0,05).
