Abstract

This study was aimed at (1) describing the differences in learning outcomes of Computer Skills and Information Management (KKPI) between the students who learned through problem-based e-learning model with students who learned through direct instructional model, (2) describing the differences in learning outcomes of KKPI between the students with high learning motivation with those with low learning motivation, and (3) describing the interactive effect between the model of learning (problem-based e-learning model and direct instructional model) with student's motivation (high and low motivation) towards learning outcomes of KKPI. This study is a quasi-experimental study using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study consist of 5 classes consisting of 178 students. Samples were taken 4 classes with simple random sampling. Data was collected using achievement test and analyzed using ANACOVA factorial 2×2. The result showed that (1) there was difference in learning outcomes of KKPI between the students who learned through the problem-based e-learning model and the students who learned through the direct instructional model; (2) there was difference in learning outcomes of KKPI between students who have high learning motivation and students who have low learning motivation; (3) there was an interactive influence between the model of learning with learning motivation towards the student's achievement in the learning outcomes of KKPI.
