Negative labeling attached to street vendors (PKL) is making their presence seen as a threat. Various problems faced by street vendors certainly needs to be a bond or close social relationships in order to survive and maintain their existence, not to mention street vendors pentol bakar. Street vendors pentol bakar an emerging new vendors, especially in the area of Benteng Pancasila Mojokerto. Social capital is used as a means to obtain life assurance and survival mechanism, especially for PKL pentol bakar. This research aims to assess social capital as a survival mechanism street vendors pentol bakar in the area of Benteng Pancasila Mojokerto. The research methodology used was a qualitative research approach to social capital. Techniques in data collection is done by participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman analysis of the data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that the form of social capital in the form of a network, namely equation residential areas street vendors pentol bakar, assisted by family/close relatives, aided by the customer to get new customers, and in collaboration with cadger drinks, all in accordance with the firts strategy of survival mechanism. Forms of social capital such as trust, namely owed to the family/close relatives and granting loans to loyal customers according to the fourth strategy of survival mechanism. Furthermore, trust is assisted by family/close relatives in accordance with the strategy of the first survival mechanism. In addition, the equation profession as street vendors pentol bakar in accordance with the third strategy of survival mechanism. Social capital in the form of norms, the norms originating from religion and norms of decency in accordance with the first strategy of survival mechanism.
