Perkuatan Tanah Dengan Vertical Drain (Studi Kasus Sawahlunto)

Abstract

Sawahlunto have area of 27.345 hectares or 273.45 km2, which has a distance of 95 km from Padang. Sawahlunto include by hills, ramps and elevation 250-650 m above sea level.Now, Sawahlunto has problems, which has been land subsidence. Subsidence happens quite significant and can be fatal if there is construction on it, such as roads, houses and other. Land subsidence become a major issue for society. This research aims to determine the classification of land and calculating subsidence and finding solutions for soil reinforcement in Sawahlunto. Research on 2015 was carried out by bore hole on a 4 point and laboratory test. At bore hole 1, Land subsidence depth of 5.6 cm, bore hole 2 depth of 14.48 cm, bore hole 3 depth of 27.1 and bore hole 4 depth of 15.6 cm. Reseaarch on 2016 with bore hole 1, Land subsidence depth of 34,9 cm, bore hole 2 depth of 32,97 cm. Sawahlunto have area of 27.345 hectares or 273.45 km2, which has a distance of 95 km from Padang. Geological and geoelectric investigation known lithological study area has a resistivity f between 7.70 to 125.00 Ohm m, with details from 15.00 to 23.00 Ohm meters of overburden, 7.70 to 23.40 Ohm meter layer sandy clay stone mixed with bolder and 33.20 to 125.00 ohm meter sandstone layer of clay mixed with bolder. Geological formations is Ombilin Formation (Tmol). Soil reinforcement is done with vertical drain. Land consolidation is needed to achieve the consolidation of 90% was 53.3 months. With vertical drain, consolidation can be accelerated to 2.67 months.
