This research was done in Metro sub watershed, Malang Regency, East Java Province. The aim of the research is investigating the recharge area. The data which consist of the infiltration rate, slope, and existing landuse as land unit approach is collected by purposive sampling. Rainfall intensity and actual infiltration rate were used to investigate the recharge area potential. The recharge area potential based on rainfall intensity-infiltration rate is classified into two areas with, 2nd potential, 18530.17 ha (65%) have infiltration rate > 0.10 cm/min and 3rd potential, 10096,61 ha (35%) have infiltration rate < 0.10 cm/min. Rainfall intensity 13.6-20.7 mm/day.
