Abstract

A good building is a building that can harness the potential of nature and use of building materials that exist in the environment . Sustainable building is a building that can balance the three factors , namely environmental , social and economic , in this case in terms of sustainable building materials is a major topic in this study . Especially for materials there are some more factors to note are the factors of age , and the production of energy from the material processing . Kampung Naga is a village which get certified green building architectural design and energy saving Indonesia from the Green Building Council of Indonesia ( GBCI ) in West Java , Kampung Naga still maintain the original culture and their ancestors have implemented the system 3R ( Reduce, Reuse , Recycle ) in the life until now . Kampung Naga society has a philosophy of obedience to God Almighty , honoring ancestors and living with nature . The philosophy of the community can create and maintain a culture lingkungnya from the past until now , so from some of the building materials used are sustainable .
