The background of this study was based on field studies and literature about the lack of the fourth grade students' ability on writing a narative. The problem was because the lack of the model used and inappropriate learning method to the elementary student's characteristic. While the purpose of the study is to get the representation of the difference of students' ability in writing narative by applying multiliteracy genre text model and multiliteracy imaginative writing method. Researcher used quasi experiment type the matching only pretest postest design as the research method. The population of this study is the entire Elementary School on Kecamatan Jatinangor. Sample chosen by researcher is the fourth grade of SDN Cikeruh 1 as experiment class and SDN Kananga as controlled class. The data analysis got the early writing narative ability of student on experiment and controlled class which there is no significant difference. It is proven by the pretest t-test result of experiment and controlled group that shows H0 is accepted. After giving the different treatment both experiment and controlled class, it is proven that there is a significant different student's writing essay narative ability to experiment and controlled class. It also proven by postest t-test result on experiment and controlled class which shows the H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a development of students' writing essay narative ability to experiment class which uses multiliteracy genre text model and controlled class which uses multiliteracy imaginative writing method.
