This research is motivated by the problems in learning process of reading in primary school. Factors that affect the low ability of reading comprehension on students is the model used by teachers for learning to read the less varied understanding and reading material given by the teacher to the students less develop the ability to read comprehension. Based on these problems, this study aims to see the implementation of Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) model and Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) model for reading comprehension in grade V SD. The research method used in this study used quasi experimental research methods and research design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted in class V in SDN Cikudayasa 02 as the experimental class and SDN Cikoneng as the control class with the same number of students is 36 students. Based on the data analysis, the average value of pretest in the experimental class is 37.50 and the control class is 35.14. The initial ability between the experimental class and the control class is not too far apart. While for the average of posttest value in experiment class is 73,89 and in control class is 61,53. Because the data obtained is not normally distributed then the data is tested using Mann-Whitney Test. Significant value obtained from Mann-Whitney test result is 0.000. So the significant value is smaller than 0.05 or 0.000 <0.05 then it can be concluded that rejected that there is a difference in reading comprehension skills of students on posttest in the experimental class and control class. Thus, there is a difference in students' reading comprehension after being treated using CIRC model in the experimental class with treatment using STAD model in the control class.
