Abstract

One of the messages or message listed in the Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) is the learningprocess should be based in on interactive, fun, challenging, and motivating learners to participate actively.Therefore, it need for development of teaching materials that can motivate the students to be more active in thelearning process. The availability of teaching materials varieties will make the students get more opportunities tostudy independent and reduce dependence on the teacher. The reality in schools, many teachers totally are fixated onteaching materials such as textbooks. It causes listening subject sometimes is not suitable with the expectedJurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Volume 01 Nomor 01 Tahun 2012competencies. Many teachers who actually makes listening activities as reading because reading text that should belistening materials already available in textbooks. But as the basic skills, listening activities should be taught withlistening practice maximally. Based on these facts, the researchers focus on the development of teaching materialsthose are arranged interactive videoes with flash media so that the listening process can be carried out at schooloptimally based on the expected competences.Process of teaching material development specially in listening interactive videos have appropriate with 4Ddevelopment model. The process start from define step, implemented top analysis, student analysis, assignmentanalysis, concept analysis, and teaching purpose. Next step is design, it include material design, media, and from toget one teaching material draft. Next step is development include validation, implementation, and teaching materialrevision until get teaching material final draft. Based validation result, quality of teaching material specially inlistening interactive videos can said complete. Research result of linguist and language learning reached 94,2% andthe percentage of expert graphic percentage of 95.4%. Implementation of teaching materials to materialize in termsof teaching materials in the criteria very well with the results of 95.4%, in terms of student activity qualifies as veryactive with 89.3% yield. Student learning outcomes are also included in the criteria very well with an average valueof 90. While the response of the students belonging to the criterion very well with the results of 85%. It can beconcluded that the teaching materials, interactive video-based listening has been developed to meet eligibilityrequirements and can be widely implemented in learning.
