The manuscript is a form of relics of the past that are still preserved until now. The manuscripts can be found in various museums in Indonesia. The contents conveyed in the text in the form of useful information. Examples: the science of religion, history, culture, ancient customs, and so forth. Therefore, the historical manuscripts owned by the Indonesian people need to be maintained and maintained so as not to extinct, and can be useful for the community. In order for the manuscript is useful for the community needs a research that aims to facilitate the readers who want to learn the script. The research used in the ancient texts is philology. Stages performed in the research philology manuscript Sullam Taufiq, namely: (1) description of manuscripts and texts, exposing the identity of texts and texts; (2) transliteration, the meaning of pegon with Arabic script with Javanese language, converted into Latin writing with Javanese language; (3) translations, the transliteration of Latin writing in Javanese was changed into Latin with Indonesian; (4) discussion, revealing the Islamic laws that exist in the manuscript. The purpose of this study is to explain the laws of Islam in the Sullam Taufiq manuscript. Single manuscript method used in this research. Source of data obtained from Museum Mpu Tantular located in Sidoarjo with research data in the form of ancient manuscript entitled Sullam Taufiq. Methods of data collection is done by 3 ways, namely library study method, field study method, and data collection from various other sources. Descriptive analysis techniques used to describe the content in the script, then analyzed based on evidence of existing data. The results of this study found that there are two Islamic laws contained in the text Sullam Taufiq, namely obligatory and prohibitive. The case that must be done by Muslims in the manuscript is 20, which includes 1) the obligation to say the shahada; 2) the duty of keeping religion; 3) the duty of the apostate; 4) the obligations of the mukallaf; 5) prayer time; 6) obligatory prayers; 7) the requirements of prayer; 8) istinjak; 9) an obligation to take a bath; 10) the sacred conditions; 11) washing unclean; 12) cover the private parts; 13) solemn in prayer; 14) Friday prayers; 15) liability to the dead; 16) zakah obligatory; 17) Ramadan fasting; 18) Hajj; 19) the obligation to provide for a living; and 20) the obligations of each believer. While there are 3 cases that are prohibited to be done by Muslims, those are 1) the prohibition for those who abandon ablution; 2) the prohibition of usury; and 3) all kinds of usury.
