Abstract

Keberadaan dunia Desain Grafis di Indonesia saat ini sudah berkembang pesat, ditandai dengan banyaknya desainer-desainer muda yang lahir. Persaingan antar desainer, menghasilkan banyak karya-karya yang sangat inovatif dan kreatif dalam dunia Desain Grafis. Misalnya saja dalam poster, iklan, atau seni grafis. Seni grafis lebih dikenal masyarakat dengan sebutan sablon. Kaos sablon distro Bonek Original terkenal memiliki kualitas dari kaos hingga bahan sablon yang bagus. Banyak Bonek sebagai konsumen, memesan kaos dengan desain mereka sendiri meskipun sudah banyak kaos-kaos yang ada di distro. Hal tersebut dikarenakan konsumen juga mempunyai kriteria-kriteria sendiri dalam hal desain kaos sablon. Dengan memahami keinginan konsumen, desainer akan semakin mudah untuk membuat desain baru dan desain yang nantinya akan disablon sudah sesuai dan dapat diterima oleh konsumen. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) bagaimana bentuk desain kaos distro Bonek Original?; 2) bagaimana pengembangan desain kaos distro Bonek Original menurut keinginan konsumen?. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah teknik pengamatan, teknik wawancara, teknik angket pengumpulan data dan teknik dokumen. Hasil penelitiannya adalah peneliti mendeskripsikan bentuk desain kaos distro Bonek Original selama bulan Mei hingga Juli 2012 dan peneliti mengetahui keinginan konsumen distro Bonek Original. Kemudian peneliti membuat tiga desain baru dengan mengembangkan keinginan konsumen tersebut. Ketiga desain tersebut telah sesuai dengan keinginan konsumen saat ini. Kata Kunci: Kaos, Sablon, Bonek dan Konsumen Nowadays the existence of Graphic Design in Indonesia has already growing up very fast, it is proved by the existence of many new young designers. The competition among those new young designers has given many innovative and creative works too in Graphic Design. Such as posters, advertisements, or graphic arts. Graphic arts are well-known called as silk-screening. Silk-screening shirts of Bonek Original shop have good quality  for the shirt and the silk-screening it self. The most costumers are Bonek. They order the shirts with their own design although there are already many shirts with excellent design in the shop. By understanding the costumers desire in ordering their own designs for the shirts, the designers will be easier to make hew designs since the designs are already appropriate to the costumers really want and finally the designs will be accepted comfortably by the costumers. The questions of this research are 1) how is the design of a shirts by Bonek Original shop?; 2) how is the development of a shirt design in the Bonek Original shop?. The technique for collecting data uses observation, interview, questionnaire and document. The result of the research is that the researcher describes how the designs of shirts by Bonek Original shop are which are made starting from May to July 2012 and the researcher understands the costumers want the designs for their shirts from the Bonek Original shop. Then, the researcher made three new designs based on the costumers want at that time. Those three designs are already appropriate to the costumers want about the design for their shirts recently.
