Abstract

Improvement of quality of education can be done through three main components namely student, teachercompetence and learning facilities. Problems faced by teachers so that the students how to improve learningoutcomes specifically in the eyes of welding training class X TPM SMK Surabaya Student Park. To optimize thelearning process researchers used learning model PBL (Problem Base Learning) in the hope of applying cooperativelearning model PBL can improve student learning outcomes. Students who made the object of this research is classX TPM SMK Surabaya Student Park. This research is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research),each round has stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. Data obtained through this study werecollected and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, while the instrument used in this study include sheets oflearning management, student activity sheets, student questionnaire responses, and student learning outcomes ofeach round. Student learning outcomes can be achieved if students can achieve mastery of learning objectives ineach lesson. Data analysis results will be obtained if a good response from the students to follow the learning andthe final test results of students has increased mastery of the objectives of this study can be achieved.
