The aim of this research was to describe the use of inquiry method that can improve student learning outcomes in science learning in class V SDN Kapasari I / 292 Surabaya. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this research were students of class V SDN Kapasari I / 292 Genteng of Surabaya tiles as many as 46 students. The research instrument used in this research is a direct observation. The data obtained in this research will be processed and analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the application of inquiry methods in science learning can improve student learning outcomes with the average values obtained by students in each of the tests are given a test cycle I (68.77), and the second cycle (76.23). When compared with the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) for ≥ 70 individuals indicated that the application of the inquiry method in science learning in research is highly effective in improving student learning outcomes and student activities in learning.
