Abstract

Results the data obtained in SMKN 7 Surabaya XI TPM 4 academic year 2012/2013, teachers are still using conventional learning model. This resulted in student learning outcomes to be low, as evidenced by the value KDTM on subjects students have not reached Minimum Compelete Criterion, of the 32 students only 10 students or of 31,25%. Researchers try to do focussed learning Student Teams Achievement Divisions developed by John Hopkins' University that consists of five main components, namely: team work, class presentations, quizzes, score an individual improvement, and team awards. This type of research is Research Action class (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) in this application use 2 cycle. This research Data analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. Research results by using a model of learning type STAD for activity groups experienced an increase of 90,47%, the percentage of criteria very well. Student activity experienced an increase of 89,33%, enter percentage criteria very well. Learning outcomes after using the Model of learning has increased the number of ketuntasan STAD classical by 100% with an average rating of 82.6, with the total number of students 25 students. Model learning positive response STAD of percentage values for students with 84,06%. Barriers to the use of the learning model is limited and STAD less terbiasanya students to work in groups.
