Maritime nationalism is the soul and spirit of bahari, the benchmark of development and national unity-oriented marine Indonesia. Maritime nationalism is also an integral part of education, bearing in mind the maritime nationalism in kebaharian textbooks needed to shape attitudes and behavior as well as a vehicle to cultivate love of nautical early on to learners. Empirically, this study sought to analyze on how maritime nationalism represented in the textbooks kebaharian HangTuah Senior High School. The theory used in this study is maritime nationalism and semiotics Peirce. This study is a qualitative research using the method of analysis of the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce. Results of the study mentions that in textbooks kebaharian HangTuah Senior High School found forms of Maritime Nationalism in the form of verbal and visual data. Verbal Data tells us that the sea as a symbol of the identity of the nation of Indonesia due to the condition of Indonesia's territory as archipelagic country. With the conditions of the region and a declaration of bunaken and sunda kelapa, cries as a gift of God which must be protected, keep and preserve its environment. While the visual data as supporting data from material kebaharian explained that the illustration shows the images shown are not maritime Nationalism but rather foreign cultural forms as westernisation.
