Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out the achievement of study result of the cognitive, achievement of scientific thinking skills, and the student's response after following learning using student worksheets of oriented guided discovery to practice scientific thinking skills on the theme of ‘Es Lilin’. This research has been implemented to 12 students in grade VIII SMP Negeri Ngusikan Jombang. This research is a descriptive research that describes achievement of study result of the cognitive, achievement of scientific thinking skills, and the student's response after using student worksheets of oriented guided discovery to practice scientific thinking skills. Achievement of study result of the cognitive is obtained the percentage of 75%. For the achievement of scientific thinking skills is obtained the percentage of 83.3%. Students responded to an integrated science learning using student worksheets oriented guided discovery to practice scientific thinking skills with a positive at the theme of Es Lilin. The conclusions of this research are an integrated science learning with student worksheets oriented guided discovery to practice scientific thinking skills on the theme of Es Lilin can achieved study result of the cognitive, scientific thinking skills and the students’s response positive.
