Abstract

The background of this research is the effect of using cooperative learning models of jigsaw type to the result of Civic Education. The purpose of this research is to describe teacher's activities, students's avtivities and the result of students's work in applying cooperative learning models of of jigsaw type on Civic Subject the students of Perak Utara IV / 61 State Elementary School Surabaya. The data of this research is get from observation and test. The result of student's work in first cycle is 60,97 and increasing 64,72 in second cycle. In third cycle can reach 89,58. The result of the teacher's activities in first cycle is 61,54% and increasing 75% in second cycle. In third cycle can reach 90,38%. The result of student's activities in first cycle is 63,33%,and increasing 75,39% in second cycle. In third cycle can reach 88,79%. The conclusion is that applying cooperative learning models of jigsaw type can fix the quality of Civic education the students of class fourth Perak Utara IV / 61 State Elementary School Surabaya
