Block printing is a technique of giving color on fabric surface as it motif by using block made of wood or copper where the motive area is prominent. Therefore, the suitable kind of textile paint is needed to support quality of that art product. Textile dye selected because the color is brighter and long lasting. But not all of textile dye produced bright color. This is affecting by ingredient composition inside. Thus, research about the effect quantity of oil contained in textile paint conducted. The oil quantity used in this research are 45.15% and 47.5% conducted with block printing technique and applied on jacket made of synthetic suede. The aims of this research are to know the effect of textile paint quantity toward coloring and to know the best product of coloring. This research is experimental research. Data collecting method used is observation. The observation performed by 30 observers. Data analysis is using independent sample t-test assisted by SPSS 17 with significance 5%. The instrument in this research is observation sheet. Research yield shows that the outcome of block printing by using oil content 45.15% is the best, because has aspects of color sharpness, color evenness, color absorption, fabric grip properties and fade-proof against ironing. The best outcome of block printing on jacket made of synthetic suede using oil quantity 45.15%.
