Bag is an object that is used to put , save or bring goods with a variety of shapes , sizes and trends in accordance with the material of manufacture. Raffia has the characteristics of a flat -shaped, elastic, easily twisted to resemble thread, so it can be used to manufacture bags with knitting techniques. Knitting/crochet is yarn hooking technique so shaped different motif according to the desired design. The aim of research is to determine the influence of material thickness to the results asahylon raffia crochet/knitting. Type of research is experimental research. Methods of data collection is observation techniques based on aspects of stability results so crochet / knitting, density results so crochet/knitting, and the suitability of the materials used by the results so crochet / knitting, using valuation sheet instruments with  provides check list ( √ ) by 25 respondents among others, five lecturers and 20 students fashion designer. Data were analyzed using ANOVA analysis of single with the help of a computer program SPSS 21. The result of research showed that the influence of the thickness of the material raffia asahylon the results so crochet / knitting on a tote bag (corde bag) with significant results α > 0.05. Material thickness 0,12 mm of raffia asahylon results were better than other materials with the highest mean score of 3:46 on the three aspects are assessed.
