Metropolitan cities such as Surabaya, as if a magnet is remarkable for the urbanite who wanted to seek their fortunes. Then do not be surprised if many migrants who came in droves from different corners of the mainly from various regions in East Java to Surabaya. Surabaya absorbs many of the migrants as of Mojokerto, one of the migrant workers who were daily rise above the railway carriage. Based on the above researchers focus on the behavior of passengers who ride on train carriages. The researcher uses phenomenology theory of Alfred Schutz and qualitative method with specification of trying to explain phenomenon from intersubjectivity and focus on science analysis  from several constructs by categorizing findings. There are two kind of motive  influencing a person to climb on the top of train that is because motives—which consist of economic, uncomfortable train, friendship, and trend factors and  in orde to motive  which is caused by solidarity, goal, and efficiency factors.
