Perancangan sebuah alat data logger untuk mendeteksi gas-gas beracun seperti CO (Karbon monoksida) dan NOx (Nitrogen monoksida, Nitrogen dioksida dll) dengan menggunakan Mikrokontroler Jenis AVR ATMega16, yang merupakan Mikrokontroler powerfull dengan komponen-komponen yang lengkap didalamnya disertai dengan 2 sensor yang menjadi sumber masukan data berupa polutan yaitu sensor gas CO menggunakan jenis TGS 2442 dan sensor gas NOx menggunakan jenis TGS 2201. Data berupa polutan masuk dan dibaca oleh sensor untuk kemudian melalui port ADC pada mikrokontroler, data analog berupa panas yang dihasilkan heater diolah menjadi nilai resistansi yang nantinya dikonversikan menjadi nilai dalam satuan ppm (Part Per Million). Dengan adanya alat ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap lingkungan sekitar khususnya zat beracun seperti CO,NO,NO2 dll. Sehingga terhindar hal-hal yang membahayakan diri manusia yang menghirupnya serta pemanfaatan mikrokontroler sebagai chip serbaguna masa kini ternyata sangat membantu dalam pengembangan dan kemajuan khususnya dunia teknologi. Serta contoh implementasi nyata yang masih banyak lagi yang dapat dikembangkan semaksimal mungkin dari sebuah mikrokontroler. Designing a data logger equipment to detect toxic gases such as CO (carbon monoxide) and NOx (nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, etc), using AVR Microcontroller Type ATMega16, which is a powerful microcontroller with complete components inside along with two sensors become a source of input data in the form of pollutant is CO gas sensor using a type of gas sensor TGS 2442 and TGS 2201 NOx using type. Form the pollutant data entry and then read by the sensors to the ADC port on microcontroller, analog data in the form of heat generated heater resistance value in units of PPM (parts per million). With the existence of this tool is expected to improve awareness of the environment surrounding especially toxic substances such as CO, NO, NO2, etc. So avoid things that harm humans who breathe it as well as chip microcontroller multipurpose utilization of the present proved very helpful in the development and progress, especially the world of technology. And examples of real implementations are still many more that could be exploited as much as possible from a microcontroller.
