Observations show that the fourth grade students of SDN Semambung 296 Sidoarjo have difficulty writing descriptions. Students have not been able to explore new ideas and based on the observed image. Factors causing difficulty in writing a description of the student teachers are using media that is not in accordance with the material being taught is the media image. The purpose of this study describes the activity of teachers in the use of the school environment as a learning resource to enhance the writing skills of fourth grade students of SDN description Semambung 296 Sidoarjo, write a description of students' learning outcomes, as well as the obstacles and how to overcome them. This study used the design of classroom action research (CAR) conducted by two cycles, and each cycle consists of the planning, execution and observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, testing, and field notes. The collected data was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results in the first cycle and second cycle showed that the percentage of teachers keterlaksanaan activity as much as 100%. Meanwhile, the achievement of all teachers in the first cycle reached a value of 71.56 and a second cycle increased to 92.18. Mastery learning students write a description of classical results on the first cycle reached 66.66% while in the second cycle increased to 95.23%. Constraints faced by the teacher is less loud when presenting the material, how to cope with the increasing noise to be more loudly. It can be concluded that the use of the school environment as a learning resource to improve the skills of fourth grade students write a description of SDN Semambung 296 Sidoarjo.
