Abstract

The purposes of this research were to describe the implementation of learning model type TGT (Team Game Tournament) using the media game clever board, critical thinking skills, and student responses on an integrated science of theme sound and human hearing. This study used the design of ”One Group Pretest Posttest Design”. The objects of this study were students of grade VIII A SMP Negeri 2, Mojoagung. The average implementation of learning conducted by the teacher was 3.4 (excellent). The result of paired-t test showed that the critical thinking skills of the students increased after the implementation of learning. Gain score analysis revealed that 36.7% of students obtain high increase, 53.3% of students obtain medium increase and 10% of students get low increase. It can be concluded that the application of integrated science learning with cooperative learning model type TGT (Team Game Tournament) using the media game clever board can improve critical thinking skills and provide an interesting  learning as well as; in addition fun most of the students give positive responses.
