Abstract

  This research aimed to know the implementation of problem based learning model to improve the problem solving skill of grader X Entrepreneurial Garment. Type of this research was Classroom Action Research which conducted in two cycles. Data collecting method were using observation technique in form of problem solving skill instrument and performance test. The research was conducted on grade X Entrepreneurial Garment in SMK Negeri 1 Buduran which consists of 35 students. Data analysis used was descriptive quantitative analysis. Result of the research proved that there is improvement on problem solving skill of grader X Entrepreneurial Garment on sub competency of dress pattern making as design in range 20% - 40% for each indicators including identifying problem, define the problem, checking solution, executing plan, and testing impact. Research finding is the implementation of problem based learning model improved problem solving skill, particularly on indicators of testing impact and checking solution.     Keywords: Problem based leaning model and student’s problem solving skill.
